I come before you, oh Lord my God

Lay my heart on the alter of your Word

Father, I come, I come kneeling before you

 

Search my heart, Lord, know my thoughts

Reveal the places where sin has me caught

I surrender, I surrender to Your Word

Father, I ask you, to be my stronghold 

 

There’s a way that is wise in my own eyes

But it leads my heart down a path of lies

I surrender, I surrender to Your will

Father, set me free, so I won’t be deceived 

 

No longer bound, I set my burdens at the cross

I run, I fly, because You are my grace in all

I feel Your kiss as I surrender

I know I’m held in arms of love unending
