I pray that I may learn to see ALL of life as an opportunity to bow before the Lord in worship, for that will prevent my mind from being so earthly focused that it's no heavenly good. Psalm 89:15 reminds me that Happy are those who hear the joyful call to worship, for they will walk in the light of Your presence, Lord.
Worship is not just a specific act, singing, praying..and then off to work and when that is done, I'll come back to worship You,God. No. It's a lifestyle. It begins in Holy expectancy and ends in Holy obedience. It's in every breath, in every act of obedience to Him. It's a lifestyle of a grateful heart.
To worship, is to respond to a Lover who always loves and always draws near. What is my response (right now in this situation I'm in ) to the One who has given all? Am I choosing to be kind when I'm being treated wrongly..that is an act of worship. Am I being compassionate and giving even though I'm not feeling like it..that is an act of worship. Am I saying words of love, words that build up instead of tearing down..that is an act of worship. I'm choosing to bow my attitude, my feelings, my words, my actions to Him.
You see..every time I'm choosing the God-way of doing a thing..I'm saying.. I honor You, I worship You, I adore You. I'm learning to walk my worship. As I clean my house. As I cook a meal. As I lend a hand. As I teach. As I work. I need to see that all my words are a worship. All my work is a worship. That, I believe is how, no matter what we do...it's to the glory of God. Our focus is on Him. In all my ways I acknowledge( to seek, know) Him, and He directs my path. Proverbs 3:6
The joy of the Lord's presence is a daily reality. My heart is fixed on the Holy One. I see all of my life as worship and this is transforming who I am.
You will make known to me the path of life. In Your presence is fullness of joy, in Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11
You will guard him and keep him in perfect peace whose mind ( both its inclination and it's character ) is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You. Isaiah 26:3 AMPC
