“Then He said to him, “A certain man gave a great supper and invited many, and sent his servant at supper time to say to those who were invited, ‘Come, for all things are now ready.’” Luke 14:16-17 NKJV
Reading this verse, I had the revelation of how amazing Jehovah Jireh, (the Lord who provides) is. Jesus is saying in this verse, not only have I given the invitation to you, but I have also prepared all for you. There are many invitations that God gives to us, the first being the invitation to salvation, for He desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Tim 2:4). Then He keeps on giving invitations in the form of opportunities and open doors. Invitations to serve Him, to bring Him glory, to a higher calling. What amazes me though, He not only gives the opportunity, but he also with the opportunity prepares us,and prepares whatever we need for the next step. So - why do we fear or doubt when an opportunity lies before us from God? It might be bigger than us, but we need to get this Word from Jesus deep into our hearts - “Come, for all things are now ready!“
Let’s be Joshua and Caleb,(Numbers 13 -14), who were given the invitation to come into the promised land, and were the only ones who believed that the One who gave the invitation was also able to provide the way. From the mouth of Joshua: The Lord is with us. Don’t be afraid!
He who extends the invitation, has also supplied and prepared the food for the feast. A favorite teacher of mine said it like this: “Grace prepares the table before you but faith eats.” The table is prepared before you, do you believe and reach out to partake of it? What are you waiting for? Go ahead. Say yes to the next opportunity that comes your way. Open the door. He’s waiting.
“We have become his poetry, a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny he has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it!”
Ephesians 2:10 TPT
