Who I am

I’ve realized something, lately. My relationship with God reflects into my life in an amazing way. If my walk is close to God, if I’m thriving and growing in the Word....I’m a much nicer person. I can honestly say,I don’t like the person I am apart from God. Hard to admit, but totally true. That person is selfish. Is impatient. Is quick to speak in anger. Is easily frustrated. It’s like..I don’t want to be around this me, so why would anyone else?

 

It was an enlightening moment. One that I am thankful to God for. The vision to see clearly who we are in Christ and who we are apart from Him, that is a gift. I’m thankful, so thankful that He imparts himself, His very nature in me. The more time I spend with Him the more I reflect His goodness, His Kindness, His love.He transforms me  into the image of His word. And it’s amazing to me. 

 

How is your walk with God? For me,the health and wellness of my relationships, tells the whole story. Every single relationship is affected by how close I am to God.(Or how far away I am.) So I have to ask, what kind of a partner, friend, sibling, co-worker are you? The God-driven kind? Or the me-driven kind? Trust me. The me-driven person..is not who you want to be. Be God-inspired, my friend, be God-inspired! 

 

Walk hand in hand with Him and He will mold you into a reflection of Himself, someone who is attractive in every relationship. Someone who you can look back at, at the end of the day, and the memory brings a smile to your face. I want to do God proud. How about you?
